My favorite books on Autoimmune Disease:
Ballantyne, Sarah. The Paleo Approach: Reverse Autoimmune Disease and Heal Your Body. Victory Belt Publishing, Inc. 2013. Print.
Wahls, Terry. The Wahls Protocol: A Radical New Way to Treat All Chronic Autoimmune Conditions Using Paleo Principles. Revised and Expanded Edition. Avery. 2020. Print.
**I really can't recommend Dr. Wahls' book highly enough. I wish I had read it and made the diet changes she recommends decades before I did, as it' is truly a game-changer. Dr. Ballantyne's book is also excellent, but much more difficult to read if you are experiencing the kind of mental fog that most of us do when our bodies are overwhelmed with the inflammation of autoimmune disease, and while both recommend nearly identical dietary and lifestyle changes, Dr. Wahls quantifies these changes in ways I found easier to implement. And the results have been so dramatic, I have never even considered turning back.
There are a number of books I have consulted on my quest to learn more about Graves' Disease and treatment options. Each of these I was able to find at my local library.
